The Non-Underwritten Life Cover benefit will pay out a lump sum upon the death of the main member. Medical tests are not required, and you have the option of adding life cover for your partner at a small additional premium.

What you should know

• any woman from the age of 18 to 65 can take out a Fenomenal Woman Non-Underwritten Life policy
• you can choose to take out life cover for your partner as well, provided they are also between the ages of 18 and 65
• you can choose the amount of life cover you would like, in multiples of R5,000, subject to a minimum of R50,000 and a maximum of R200,000
• the sum assured on your partner’s life cannot exceed the sum assured on your own life
• no medical examination or HIV test is required for this policy
• your monthly premium will depend on your age, and your choice of benefits
• accidental death is covered from inception
• death as a result of natural causes is covered after the policy has been in force for a period of 12 months
• death as a result of any pre-existing conditions or suicide, is covered after the policy has been in force for 24 months
• this benefit does not acquire any surrender value or paid-up value

How to claim

In the event of a claim you, your beneficiaries or your nominated Executor simply need to contact us on 0800 252 467 to obtain a claim form; our consultants will advise on any additional documents that are required. The completed claim form must be submitted within 180 days of the death of the insured person.
